Tips and Tricks

Design Considerations

Keep in mind that these mini houses are temporary art pieces. Ensure the design is clean, simple, and gets the point across solely through the colors and paint flow.

• Experiment; use bright, bold hues to attract attention.
• Highlight decorations like windows, shutters, or a door like its actual miniature house.

Using Correct Paint Techniques

Use a balanced paint palette to keep your decoration level throughout.

• Thin paint coats help prevent noticeable brush strokes.
• Monitor your progress under a steady light.

Etiquette and Assembly

Ensure the painting is a gentle and easy process.

Place the house securely, while adjusting camera angles to most effectively show off its features.

Protect your artwork from scratches by storing them upright in acid-free storage containers or directly displaying on a wide, flat surface where they may eventually bend.
